DIFERENCIAS

Testimonios
Had a wonderful stay here, they will treat you like family, and anything you need they are happy to help. Great campsite and beautiful countryside to relax and enjoy nature + wonderful food! The axolotls were a fun surprise as well. I think they are very serious about sustainability with the composting, education, etc. I hope that as more is learned about these species of fireflies the attitude of preservation and conservation continues!

A pleasant place to go during the firefly watching season, unfortunately this year we did not see almost any specimens since we were finishing the season, previous years quite the opposite, they handle different packages, they have cabins and a camping area, the explanations and the ajolotario can improve. Dry bathrooms (latrines) are recommended. It is an ecotourism area.

The experience was very good. We reserved cabins in advance, in reality they are small concrete rooms with 2 beds, only for sleeping. It is very cold at night so we bring separate blankets, however the beds are very comfortable. We were able to spend a good time after the sighting talking and drinking without problems. It is an ecological center so you have to consider that the bathrooms are dry and for obvious reasons they are public, of course there is no place for you to bathe. They have a dining room where they give you atole and bread if your package includes it, in any case you can eat something there if you pay for it, like coffee, quesadillas, eggs... To get there you have to get on a cart towed by a tractor with other visitors , because the path is difficult for a car to climb. First we took a tour of the place where they explain the care they have given to the forest, then they give you a brief talk about the environment or safety (I think they change, they have been there twice since we have been). After tasting your atole and bread they take you back by tractor to the forest where the firefly sighting is. It is important to consider bringing a raincoat because this time we had heavy rain, also wearing comfortable shoes that do not slip, because with the mud many people slipped and those who were not wearing raincoats were soaked. You cannot take photos of the fireflies, the indication is not to take out your cell phone or any light that disturbs them and not to make noise that could scare them away, even so there are people who believe they can take photos of them and take out their cell phone but even if you try, they cannot be seen. fireflies in photos, not even with professional cameras. Depending on the weather, you walk, but always in the dark. This time when it rained a lot we walked very little, the last time it didn't rain we walked a lot and we were able to see more fireflies. You can camp in the place where the cabins are, not in the firefly forest. They also show you axolotls that they have in captivity and the next morning they take you down on the tractor. If you prefer to go just to see the fireflies you can do so, after the sighting they will take you back to the town. The best thing about the experience is the beautiful views that you take with you as a souvenir.

A pleasant experience. They have a very good organization. We paid for a package that contains a cabin but without food, I recommend that you buy the food package in case you are going to stay, since there is no free sale, the dining room only considers those who bought the package with food, or in In any case, bring snacks or something for dinner after the tour. On the other hand, the tour and the attention were excellent, very explanatory and the sighting was incredible. Fireflies were flying as we walked through the forest. There is also an axolotl farm, they are very cute and they are in very good condition since they are a conservation center. There was a talk about corn and a tasting of atole with bread, delicious. Regarding the cabins, very cozy and basic for rest, they do not have a full bathroom, it is an ecological bathroom a few meters from the cabins, totally part of the experience. Thanks 4e! We will return next year.
