Vive la Experiencia:
Te adentrarás al Parque Nacional Lagunas de Chacahua, donde observarás una gran cantidad de aves nativas y migratorias, como la espátula rosada y el pelicano blanco americano. Al mismo tiempo conoce el mangle rojo donde crustáceos como la tichinda habitan, recorre los túneles formados por esta bella especie y disfruta de los atardeceres majestuosos acompañados de la cultura afromestiza viva en las tradiciones de su gente disfrutando de sus fiestas, música, leyendas, danzas y prueba la fusión gastronómica característica de Chacahua.

Actividades:
Recorridos por Senderos Acuáticos por el complejo lagunar Chacahua-Pastoría. Recorridos por las islas falsas o pantanosas llamadas laberintos formados por el majestuoso manglar. Visita al Centro de Investigación de Vida Silvestre (Cocodrilario). Educación Ambiental.

En nuestro centro implementamos la Separación de Residuos, hacemos Monitoreo de Flora y Fauna, Recorridos de Vigilancia, Reforestamos y Restauramos el Manglar, entre otras cosas. Te invitamos a que lo hagas con nosotros y cuidemos nuestro medio ambiente, realizando un turismo responsable.

Cómo Llegar:
Transporte público – Tomar un transporte colectivo (Suburban) con dirección a Pinotepa Nacional y bajarse en el reten delante de Rio Grande de ahí toman un taxi colectivo a la Comunidad de Zapotalito y llegar al embarcadero Principal. Transporte privado, saliendo de Puerto Escondido o Huatulco hay que tomar la carretera hacia Pinotepa Nacional- Puerto Escondido, pasando la comunidad de Río Grande hay un reten y 2 sitios de taxis a mano izquierda que te lleva a la comunidad de Zapotalito, ya en la comunidad (en la curva justo al observar la laguna a mano izquierda) preguntar por el Embarcadero Principal.

Our experience with Aventura y Ecoturismo Lagunas de Chacahua has been nothing short of amazing. We booked four tours with them: the Bioluminescence tour where we learned about blue algae and swam under the stars; a fulfilling hike up Cerro Encantado to watch the sunrise and spot whales from above; and an early morning kayak adventure where hearing the animals awaken as the sun came up felt absolutely magical. Today we’re finishing our journey with the complete boat tour of Chacahua, and I have no doubt it will be epic. 🌊 I truly can’t recommend this company enough. My wife and I don’t speak much Spanish (though we’re inspired to improve for next time!), but Pirri and the entire crew welcomed us with kindness, patience, and genuine warmth. They shared not only beautiful landscapes, but stories and a deep love for the place they call home. We’re incredibly grateful for the experience, and we will absolutely be coming back!

Honestly this was surprisingly one of the best experiences we had on our trip (and my Spanish is limited)! The taxi to pick us up from the meeting point (a huge, super safe supermarket) was on time and the driver spoke English and French. He was so lovely! He gave us a great explanations of the various agricultural practices in the area like where the papaya groves turned into coconut groves, the best local goat tacos, and more, while driving very safely and dropping us off at the pier to Chacahua. The boat driver was just as kind, and though the tour was entirely in Spanish he managed to give us a real education on why the area is a national park and acts as a massive bird refuge for the migrating birds of the americas. Chacahua itself was lovely (though if you leave the beach you’ll really need a ton of mosquito repellent), and the it was time to go back and the return was just as pleasant as the journey!! Thanks so much for showing us around, you guys are AMAZING!

We had a fantastic eco-tour with Alfredo, who explained all of the plants and animals, as well as the culture and history. He was very patient and kind, and took us to multiple locations for swimming and hiking. At the end, we got to watch the sunset and it was legit one of the most beautiful places I have ever been!

Wonderful experience! Our guide was super friendly and really knew and loved the area, answering all questions about the flora and fauna in the lagoon and life in the area (thanks Google Translate). Great to see so many different birds and navigating through the mangrove labyrinth was a unique experience. He also had a great rec for zarandeado fish in Chacahua. Best. Fish. Ever. Take colectivo from PE and get off at the juncture for Zapotalito. Then grab another short colectivo the rest of the way. My only complaint was that when paying by cc, I specifically asked to be charged in pesos without the bad conversion rate, but we got charged the bad conversion rate anyway.
