The Sierra Juarez and Valles Centrales Brand was developed in a co-creative and participatory manner by community-based nature tourism businesses located in the northern and central region of the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. It is a mountainous region, its ecosystems include temperate forests of pine, oak, cloud forest and jungle. They are companies belonging to the Zapoteca and Chinanteca Indigenous Peoples, with a community organization that is the basis of their way of life. They are heirs and guardians of a unique biocultural heritage.
