Ecotourism Laatzi Duu

Ecoturismo Laatzi Duu is an ecotourism center located in San Juan Evangelista Analco, Oaxaca, which offers visitors a unique experience in contact with nature, local culture and an unforgettable coexistence with the people of the community. This community project began in the nineties with a trout hatchery, later evolving into the construction of a dining room, cabins and the implementation of various ecotourism activities.

Among the services offered by Ecoturismo Laatzi Duu are:

Lodging in rustic cabins and legendsAround a lagoon and inside the forest, the cabins provide a safe, quiet and cozy refuge for visitors, where they can also enjoy stories and legends told by people from the community around a campfire.

Hiking and biking: Travelling through trails that cross the mesophilic forest or the low deciduous forest, you can enjoy a safe environment, observing the different species of vegetation and with panoramic views from natural viewpoints.

Camping areas and outdoor grills: Spaces designed for those who prefer an experience closer to nature, with facilities for preparing food outdoors. 

Grottoes: Cave tours, for those who like adventure and exploration of natural areas.

Dining room service: Local dishes are offered, highlighting the gastronomy of the region.

In addition, the community organizes events such as the Laatzi Duu Cross Country Race, which in its 11th edition in 2019 sought to promote ecotourism and publicize the natural and cultural wealth of the area.

Laatzi Duu Ecotourism is an example of how sustainable community management can generate local employment and promote environmental awareness and conservation, while offering visitors an authentic and enriching experience.
