Fruto Maya, recorrido del Ramon promotes ecotourism and the use of ramón, driven by people who protect the forest and their ancestral culture.

Mayan Fruit Ramon tour is an initiative located in Macanché, Flores, Petén, that combines ecotourism with the promotion of products derived from the ramón seed. This proposal was born from the collective work of the Asociación Muralla de León (AMUL), made up of 30 members and 16 partners, a group committed to environmental preservation and community development. Its mission is to harmonize the relationship between forests, people and food through sustainable practices.

During the harvest season, the women collect the ramón seed by hand and transform it into various products such as flour for pastries, cookies, breads and a hot beverage alternative to coffee. Known as the "tree of life", ramón is an ancestral and highly nutritious resource, rich in vitamins B2 and B6, calcium, fiber and protein, and is an important part of the Mayan identity.

AMUL is part of the Association of Forestry Communities of Petén (ACOFOP), which allows them to integrate into a community model of sustainable forest management. In addition, they have developed the Peninsula de Amul Ecological Tourist ComplexThe project is a space where ramón products are produced and marketed to directly benefit the families involved and the local economy.

The ramon route offers an experience where visitors can learn about the seed transformation process, participate in the elaboration of cookies and drinks, and enjoy a traditional dish with local ingredients. They can also tour the natural beauty of the destination, located on the shores of the Macanché Lagoon.
