About Adventure and Ecotourism Lagunas de Chacahua
At Ecoturismo Lagunas de Chacahua we show you the beautiful coast of Oaxaca and the Lagunas de Chacahua National Park. Venture by boat through the mangroves and islets in the lagoon, see the crocodile farm and beautiful beaches.
Live the Experience:
You will enter the Lagunas de Chacahua National Park, where you will observe a large number of native and migratory birds, such as the roseate spoonbill and the American white pelican. At the same time you will visit the red mangrove where crustaceans like the tichinda inhabit, walk through the tunnels formed by this beautiful species and enjoy the majestic sunsets accompanied by the Afro-mestizo culture alive in the traditions of its people enjoying their festivals, music, legends, dances and taste the gastronomic fusion characteristic of Chacahua.
Activities:
Water trail tours through the Chacahua-Pastoria lagoon complex. Tours through the false or swampy islands called labyrinths formed by the majestic mangrove. Visit to the Wildlife Research Center (Cocodrilario). Environmental education.

How to get there:
Public transportation: Take a public transportation (Suburban) towards Pinotepa Nacional and get off at the checkpoint in front of Rio Grande, from there take a collective cab to the community of Zapotalito and get to the main pier. Private transportation, leaving Puerto Escondido or Huatulco take the road to Pinotepa Nacional-Puerto Escondido, passing the community of Rio Grande there is a checkpoint and 2 cab stands on the left hand side that takes you to the community of Zapotalito, already in the community (in the curve just when you see the lagoon on the left hand side) ask for the main pier.
